In Belarus, women’s representation in the field of natural science, as well as gender imbalance in physics and mathematics, have been investigated using the latest available statistical data, accessed in July 2017. Statistics on daily time use by gender and marital status, with a focus on work and family responsibilities, are provided to aid in pointing out the most challenging issues that are linked to gender-defined roles and affect female career achievements in society. Beneficial strategies to advance women in science are discussed.ru_RU
