At one time, nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries were replaced by nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), and now lithium-polymer (Li-pol) are trying to take the place of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. NiMH batteries to some extent pushed NiCd. But what is the situation with lithium batteries? What are their features and how do Li-pol batteries differ from Li-ion?
