| Abstract: | This article delves into the reasons for the persistence of superstitions in modern society. The study aims to explore British superstitions through cartoons, films and cartoon series, to identify similarities and differences between Belarusian and British superstitions and to determine to what extent our contemporaries believe in them. The practical outcome of the research is a game Jinxed Journey which introduces the folklore of Eastern and Western cultures and questions the rationality of following superstitions. |
| Alternative abstract: | В статье рассматриваются причины сохранения суеверий в современном обществе. Цель данного исследования – изучить британские суеверия через мультфильмы, фильмы и мультсериалы, выявить сходства и различия между белорусскими и британскими суевериями и определить степень верования в них наших современников. Практическим результатом исследования стала игра «Jinxed Journey», которая знакомит с фольклором восточных и западных культур и ставит под сомнение рациональность следования суевериям. |
